Put Your Vulnerability Patching Program on AutoPilot

What is trackd Autopilot?

It’s a rules engine that leverages trackd’s one-of-a-kind patch disruption data, and other conditions. This allows operators control and flexibility to make automated patching decisions that align with their definition of what “safe” means to them and their unique organization.

trackd users set up their own rules that govern when their devices are autopatched based on a number of conditions, such as how disruptive a patch has been on other networks, and their own operational risk tolerance.

A rule might look like this: If a patch has been installed 10 or more times on other networks, and it has been disruptive or caused something to break less than 1% of the time, automatically apply that patch.

Operators can apply patches that don’t meet their rule specificity through normal means via the trackd platform: Fix Now or Schedule.

When a user applies a patch with the trackd platform, it records whether or not that patch caused a disruption. That information is anonymized and shared with all other users. So, the more patches are applied with trackd, the more data is available to feed the AutoPilot rules engine.

The Auto-Patching Rules engine is part of trackd’s Pro tier, but users can set up one basic auto-patching rule with the Free version of our product, and can work with AutoPilot risk-free via the Pro version’s 14-day free trial.
